The historic Old Northside District of Indianapolis is located near the downtown area, approximately one mile northeast of the city's center. Beginning in the 1850s, the area now known as the Old Northside was the prime location for elite residences, religious and educational institutes. The area's popularity began to wane following World War I and World War II. In 1978, the Old Northside earned a place on the National Register of Historic Places, preserving it for all time. Old Northside apartments offer residents a place in this historically-rich district, with all the conveniences of downtown living.

With its proximity to Indianapolis' bustling downtown, Old Northside apartments provide an ideal lifestyle regardless of what you enjoy. Everything residents need for day-to-day living is within easy reach, including two grocery stores, pharmacies, hospitals, hardware stores and the best retail shopping around at Circle Center. When it comes to higher education, downtown Indianapolis offers several options for residents of Old Northside apartments. The combined Indiana University/Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI) campus is located on the west side of downtown, along with an Indianapolis division of the Indiana University School Of Law. An active lifestyle is also easy to achieve while living in the Old Northside. The enormous National Institute of Fitness (NIFS) is located off of the IUPUI campus, offering numerous fitness classes, an indoor track, advanced fitness equipment, personal training and much more. If you prefer a less regimented fitness schedule, feel free to walk, jog, run or bike along the Monon Trail.

The downtown canal is also a popular destination for daily exercise. Fortunately, it offers visitors multiple other opportunities for fun and relaxation. Walking along the Canal is a great way to tour downtown, as it runs directly past the White River and White River Gardens, NCAA Hall of Fame, Indiana State Museum and Eiteljorg Museum before ending at the Indianapolis Zoo.

Old Northside apartments and homes combine the charm and ambiance of historical Indianapolis with the conveniences of a thriving metropolis. Enjoy living in a part of history while living the lifestyle that fits you best on the Old Northside.
